NDOW director to speak at Elko event

Elko, NV - April 16, 2014

A local nonprofit will celebrate 15 years Wednesday with a pasta dinner, live music and a presentation from Tony Wasley, director of the Nevada Department of Wildlife.

The Northeastern Nevada Stewardship Group, which is involved in collaborative public land projects, invited Wasley to speak at its annual dinner meeting about sage grouse and the state wildlife agency.

Sage grouse are under review and could be designated as endangered or threatened by next year. After Wasley’s presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
